Observation
A single recorded classroom visit — the audio, the live transcript, and your timestamped notes and quick tags.
Transcript
The text version of the spoken lesson, produced in real time as you record.
Note
A timestamped comment you add during an observation, in your own words.
Quick tag
A one-tap timestamped note for a common observation, such as "High Engagement." See the Quick tag reference.
Audio check
The 10-second test before recording that confirms your microphone and transcription are working. See Before you start an observation.
Scrubbing
Automatically removing student names from the transcript and notes before a report is finalized. See Student name scrubbing explained.
Privacy mode
A district-level setting that records your district's preferred approach to data handling. See How Elevate handles your data.
Framework
The research-based teaching rubric Elevate aligns to (the Danielson Framework). See Your evaluation rubric framework.
Report Builder
The screen where you turn Elevate's suggestions into a finished report. See Using the Report Builder.
Teacher
